NachoJoe gives Earls Kitchen + Bar a 9/10

The Quest

It’s been a long time since I rocked and rolled. I’ve noticed some new Nacho sites popping up around the web and I gotta say… they are steering you wrong my cheesy friends. I thought, it’s time to get back in the game. So here comes the return of the king (and queen, for over the hiatus Nacho Joe got married!). Nachos. Reviewed by yours truly. Thought I’d start with Earls at 140 Stewart Green SW, Calgary, AB T3H 3C8 because lots of people go to Earls, and they just updated their menu and included a new NACHOS APPETIZER! HOORAY! But… how’d they do? Nachos cannot simply be rated by numbers, they require some sweet words. Read the review and weep happily or miserably.

Nachos.

The Nachos here are unique. They are made in house and have a really nice crunch to them. However perhaps too crunchy… lots of bite, good flavour. If I found one without a topping it still tasted decent. Well done.

1.5/2

Toppings

Alright, they win here. These were some fresh toppings. Really tasty and lots of variety. On the menu it just says tomatoes, avocado, and melted cheese. But when you get the plate it’s also got bell peppers, red onion, green onion, cilantro, jalapeños… I dunno. False advertising has happened, but it’s such a good false advertisement. Further the sour cream and salsa verde were at first glance, not enough for the Nachos but when we were finished we still had plenty left. Check out the photo!

Cheese

Why do we order Nachos ladies and gents? So we can have some cheesy goodness in our lives! And thankfully, Earls is a cheesy place. These chips were delicately covered with some yummy belnded Monterey jack, cheddar and mozzarella. The layering was superb and most chips had a decent amount of cheese on top. Even at the end, we still found cheese on chips. Well done, Earls!

Presentation

These are freaking beautiful. Check out the picture below. Not much to say here. On a nice round cast-iron pan seated on a clean white plate, I don’t miss the deli paper one bit.

IMG_7182$Price$

These nachos run at $13.00. For the quantity I would say you are better off somewhere else. For the quality I would say you aren’t. These are really tasty and if you feel like spending the cash for something a bit more gourmet I would say try them out! While I wish they were $10 instead, they aren’t. But hey, with the price of oil these days… money can be tight. So I understand saving $3.

1.5/2

Summary

I give the Earls Nachos a 9/10.

These were solid Nachos and made me feel happy that I decided to return to the Nacho reviewing game. If you are looking to have a date night, and want to get some Nachos as well but still eat a cute meal with a honey, this is your bet. Your guy or gal will be all like “Oh I love Earls!” and you’ll be all like “Me too cause NACHOS. YES.” so yeah…

I missed you Nacho lovers… I hope you missed me too. (Tear)

The Quest

I told the world I’d be back and I AM BACK. Calgary, you deserve to know where the best Nachos are in the city. I’ve matured over the years and realized that I’m a tad too lenient. Well no more fluffy Nacho reviews! This is serious business. I decided that I needed extra help with my valiant return. So I brought my sidekicks Pastayoyo, Big Mama, and Riceroni with me to eat some Nachos from The Keg at 320 4 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2P 2S6. Oddly enough if you look at their menu these Nachos are invisible! They are on the bar menu only! But thankfully you CAN order these Nachos when you are out with the family or chums for steak. Here’s how The Keg’s nachos held up.

Nachos.

The chips were thin and crispy with vibrant red and yellow color to them. I asked our server if the Nachos were house made and he said they were cut and fried there so that’s nice to know! You aren’t getting Costco chips, or Tostitos from superstore at The Keg! The chips were crunchy, even the ones covered by lots of cheese. I can’t say there was a soggy one on the plate that we had. Very impressed by these thin lil chips.

Toppings

These toppings were fresh! They were great. We really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, fresh is very different then numerous. Having eaten many Nachos in my day I’ve seen much more toppings then this even for the price point. If the toppings are delicious, use them to your advantage! More toppings may have even made up for some minor cheese issues…

Keg Nachos Toppings

Regarding the cheese… There were quite a few sad and dry Nachos. Sad cause they didn’t have toppings, dry because there was a lack of cheese. I like the crown of sour cream these Nachos wear. However all of the sauces were store bought and not house made which made me sad because I can go to the store and buy Regardless they only lost one point because the Nachos tasted great and had a good homemade feeling.

$Price$

The price point for these Nachos was unreal. I was floored that a place like The Keg is only charging $12.00 for their Nachos. I wasn’t overwhelmed by the portion size, but for 12 bucks I thought it was decent! Usually guacamole is an extra charge but not here! Very pleased with the bang for your buck. Even a poor student like myself can afford these Nachos.

Presentation

These Nachos were presented nicely! They didn’t come with any wax paper underneath, however I’ve realized that sometimes wax paper isn’t a positive. It was nice to be able to take our forks and scoop up the fallen cheese on the plate. Also it’s wonderful to have dips in tortilla bowls and the bowls tasted just like the chips. So we ate everything.

The Keg Toppings

EVERYTHING. We ate it all. Except 2 olives and cheese.

photo 4

Summary

Overall The Keg provides a decent Nacho experience. Some dry and sad Nachos brought down their score from a 10 and I really would like a tad more toppings. I wasn’t blown away by these Nachos but I was definitely satisfied.

The Keg receives an 8/10.

Boston Pizza

The Quest

I haven’t been out to Nacho in a while. I was going to go insane without cheesy goodness. So I stepped out of the Nacho Joe layer to inquire at Boston Pizza. Stealthily moving into the location at #24 1200 – 37th Street SW I sat down and ordered their Nachos. Now. I didn’t stop here. Since I haven’t reviewed Nachos in a while I decided to treat all you buncha readers. I even reviewed the Nachos with chicken on them cause my sidekick Anto likes Chicken. So! Here we go.

Nachos.

These chips were pretty tasty. They have some sort of salt on em, so there’s more than just chip. Very important for those odd ones that don’t get much cheese on them. Crunch factor wasn’t bad. I’d say a 7 on the cruncher scale. However some got a bit soft. These Nachos sometimes caught a case of the soggy sadness. But overall I enjoyed the chips! They held their toppings as best as the thinner style of chip could.

Toppings

The cool thing about Boston Pizza Nachos is that the toppings are numerous because they make pizza. So these Nachos are loaded. There’s tomatos, green peppers, olives, jalapenos, and mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Pretty decent I think. We’re missing the onions on these Nachos but sometimes onions overpower the taste of everything else so you as the Nacho fan can take this as a good or bad thing. I prefer less onions on my cheesy chips but I digress. As you can see by the picture…

Lotta Toppings!

These Nachos do visually seem to have enough toppings. As we got through them they were pleasantly layered! Look! I’m so proud of you Boston Pizza. You know how to layer! (Wipes tears from my eyes)

Ogres are like Nachos. THEY HAVE LAYERS!

So I was pleased. The toppings were pleasantly pleasing. The cheese also tastes good on these Nachos and seems fresh. Not only that but all the toppings are cooked on the Nachos but don’t seem to overpower each other. The jalapenos are a bit spicy, but add to the taste! Yum.

$Price$

All right. Here’s where we make or break the deal. At a cheap $10.50 per plate these Nachos are pretty good for pricing! Like fantastic actually! BUT I can finish a plate by myself as a meal… so beware Nacho lovers. For if you love as much as I do… make sure you get other food if you are sharing!

Presentation

Places just forget about artwork nowadays you know? It’s really sad. These Nachos look very homemade, no wax paper, and nothing too special happening with them… get some wax paper, do something creative. Am I asking too much? I don’t think so…

Just seems like they through stuff on there... no love to placement.

SPECIAL MEAT EDITION

As you can see by the above and below pictures… I had these Nachos twice on different occasions! I decided to do this because nachojoe.com is now improved! I’m here for the people, by the people, and the for the bellies of the people. I don’t want to steer you wrong. So I ate Nachos twice. What a burden. I’m done now… I just want you to know that I care! SO! I had some meat… chicken… if we’re getting technical. It was spicy chicken. It was alright, it kind of taste processed and rubbery sometimes. I paid extra for it too. I’ll have to double check but I believe $2.50-3.50. Nothing over that I don’t think, which is pretty standard. It was kind of not my thing. If you want some extra protein and a bit more of a kick, go for it! On a plus side there was plenty of chunky pieces of chicken though!

Mmm... Chunky Cubed Chicken.

Summary

Well it’s been a while since I had Nachos that I enjoyed… I really like Boston Pizza’s Nachos personally. But if I’m being strict on my review scheme, based on a smaller portion, missing cheese sometimes and when ordering them with the chicken, getting less cheese kind of dampers the rating down for consistency purposes. So… I’m going to have to give Boston Pizza’s Nachos a 7/10. Almost amazing. Add more Nachos, stay consistant with your cheese! That’s my verdict.

Hope you all enjoyed reading! I hope to keep up to date with review postings!

Happy Nacho hunting!

Rusty Cage

The Quest

Tis been a long while since I set out into the world to find great Nachos. I decided to ingest some Nachos recently at the Rusty Cage Located on the corner of Bow Trail and 37th Street SW. Did I put great delicious Nachos in my happy Nacho Joe belly? Read more to find out!

Nachos.

These Nachos were very hard and crunchy. They were also kind of bland and burnt. This was very unfortunate because the first Nacho I tried didn’t taste like anything. When Nachos don’t taste like anything Nacho Joe gets sad. First demerit.

Toppings

So these Nachos had tons of toppings as you can see by the following picture. They had tons of cheese, tomatoes, olives, onions and jalapenos. However the biggest problem with these was that the biggest flavor on the Nachos were the jalapenos. This made everything taste like Jalapenos. Accompanied by some burnt chips. these spicy tangy Nachos just didn’t do the trick for me. In my personal opinion I believe that the best Nachos make you taste everything on them, not just the Jalapenos. Hmm…

Lots of Cheese! Hooray! Right? Nope

Price

These Nachos were priced at a very cheap $9.00. This was impressive because these Nachos were big for their size and for that price it’s great. Good marks for pricing!

Presentation

These Nachos did look very good though and there was more than enough dip for them! They were covered in cheese and looked very delicious. Full points for presentation for sure!

Yum!

Summary

Although these Nachos did look good they suffered from bland and burnt tasting chips and the whole plate tasting like the oil from the Jalapeno jar. The price was great. I couldn’t believe only $9.00 for all these Nachos. However I’m sad to say that in this case I got what I paid for. It is really too bad these Nachos weren’t delicious because the way they looked really made me want to love them. But sadly I must give these Nachos a 4/10.

Please help me find great Nachos!

Avocado Restaurant and Lounge

The Quest

NachoJoe rates Avocado Restaurant and Lounge 7/10

NachoJoe rates Avocado Restaurant and Lounge 7/10

Tonight my sidekick Brosa and I went to Avocado Restaurant and Lounge at 118, 318 Aspen Glen Landing SW. The menu said that “Ignacio’s Nachos” are the best in town. Did they impress Brosa and I? Read to find out!

Nachos.

Well it all comes down to this. If the chips aren’t good then it’s really hard to like the Nachos. Thankfully I did enjoy the chips. Once again I couldn’t tell if they were house made but they were flat and crispy, so maybe. They were of the red, green, and white variety.

Toppings

These Nachos had a lot of toppings! All the toppings were really delicious. They had red beans, black beans, tomatoes, red onions, and tomatoes. They were great for toppings. However, if you look at the picture you are tricked into thinking there is a lot of cheese on these Nachos.

Looks like a lot of cheese right?

But after you eat the first layer there is no cheese on the second layer. You are left with a lot of dry Nachos. Also unfortunatly these were some Cold Nachos too! The cheese wasn’t melted enough. The second layer had little bits of white cheese on them and they weren’t melted. Don’t believe me? Here is the evidence!

See? The white cheese isn't melted! And there isn't even much. I was sad... Sad Nachos...

Anyway I will stop ranting about how sad I was. When these Nachos had cheese though they were really delicious. So I guess that redeems them a little bit…

$Price$

The good part about these Nachos is if you get them on a Monday they are only $13.50 however if you go any other day then they are $17.75. To me, unless they have more cheese then the price is a little steep. If you get these Nachos, my advice is to go on Monday night.

Presentation
These Nachos looked really good. The top was covered in cheese and it looked like a giant pizza. Also the dips came in big tortilla cups. I have to give good points on presentation. Nice work Avocado!

They looked really good! It reminded me of Pizza! Go get some good Nacho Pizza!

Summary

Well as you can probably tell by the review, these aren’t 10/10 Nachos. The toppings were all so fresh and delicious but there wasn’t enough cheese. Also for the regular price of $17.75 they just aren’t quite worth it. They tasted really good but all the dry and cold Nachos brought down the mark. If these Nachos were layered high with the same amount of toppings and extra cheese then they would have stood a chance. I’m going to have to give Avocado’s “Ignacio’s Nachos” a 7/10.

Nacho lovers! Go out and eat Nachos, think some places deserved a better or worse score! Try them yoursleves and email me what your verdict is! I may even feature your review as a Nacho Joe apprentice!

Melrose Cafe and Bar

The Quest

NachoJoe rates Melrose Cafe and Bar 9/10

NachoJoe rates Melrose Cafe and Bar 9/10

Well fellow Nacho lovers here we go. Nacho Joe is back in action! A while ago I went to Melrose Cafe and Bar 730 17 Avenue Southwest to check out some Nachos. My regular sidekick Pastayoyo and I entered the venue. We sat at the bar and ordered the Nachos. That is where our story begins…

Nachos.

These were decent Nachos! They had a nice crisp to them and they were of the Black, Red and Yellow chip variety. The  Assistant Marketing Manager for Melrose Cafe and Bar got in touch with em and said the Nachos were homemade. This is a good thing. If restaraunts or bars are selling nachos they should be homemade. Melrose got it right!  Even the Nachos that were covered in toppings at the bottom stayed crunchy. Nice work Melrose, you are off to a good start!

Toppings

Yum. These Nachos had Jalapenos, tomatoes, green onions and cheese. However no olives… you know me by now. I like my olives! But it’s okay. They are forgiven because the cheese was amazing. It tasted really good and it took my mind away from the lack of olives. There were lots of toppings on these Nachos, you don’t believe me? You be the judge!

You got to love the gooey cheese... YUM!

$Price$
The Nachos cost $14.35 if you want guacamole then they cost $16.35. I recommend paying the extra two dollars because the guacamole is amazing.

Presentation

Look how delicious they look! But I didn't get the guacamole in the picture...

Summary

As delicious as these Nachos were, they don’t get a perfect score. Why you ask? Well it’s all about consistency on nachojoe.com. I went to Melrose again and the Nachos were kind of soggy and there just wasn’t enough cheese. But the Nachos featured here in the pictures were very close to being perfect. I’m giving Melrose Nachos 9/10. Maybe I will do a follow up review, maybe I won’t. I don’t know! But remember fellow Nacho lovers, not every restaurant respects the art of Nachos like we do. So if they aren’t up to par, try again. You might be surprised!

Until next time!

Buchanans

The Quest

NachoJoe rates Buchannans 6/10

NachoJoe rates Buchannans 6/10

Nacho lovers we have another review among us. Today Pastayoyo, Brosa, Mama R, and I went to check out Buchanans Chophouse Whisky Bar at 38 3rd Avenue SW. Right when you walk in they have a sign that says No Restaurant Crtics. Good thing I review Nachos! Buchanans is famous for their burgers in Calgary but are they famous for their Nachos?

Nachos.

The Nachos were of the tri-colored variety. Red, Yellow, and Black tortilla chips. They were really crunchy and they tasted good. So right off the bat these Nachos had a good base.

Toppings

Hmm… the reason I say this is because these nachos were very simplistic. They had red peppers, red onions, cheese, and that’s all. I’m okay with simple Nachos but I want lots of toppings. There really wasn’t much peppers or onions. There could have been more cheese too. An unfortunate problem with these Nachos was a term I like to call “Cold Nachos.” Cold Nachos is when the cheese isn’t quite melted. This was very unfortunate. The Nachos were tasty but there was just so much that was wrong. Cold Nachos and again, we have another case of Sad Nachos. (“Sad Nachos” is another term meaning not enough cheese on Nachos)

Sad Nachos :'-(

$Price$

At $15.00 a plate of Nachos the price looks okay. I think there needs to be more toppings and cheese in order to fully get your money’s worth. However they did taste good which was a plus.

Presentation

They looked okay. I would have liked a bit more spectacle to the Nachos, but they had wax paper so they did look nice. The three dips really added to the presentation. There was a mustard like cilantro dip (which was very good) and homemade salsa and sour cream. I would just like to point out that Buchanans has the best Salsa I have ever tried so far in my Nacho journey. Here are the Nachos in their glory!

The Nachos

The Nachos, and the Dips!

Summary

So sadly once again “Houston we have a problem.” These Nachos did not live up to their price. They were incredibly simple and they needed more cheese. The dips really saved these Nachos. I had to come up with another Nacho Term “Cold Nachos” because of these. These were tasty Nachos but they were also Cold and Sad. I have to say that if you are willing to sacrifice the traditional Tomato, Olive, green onions, and Jalapenos, then you should try these Nachos for the salsa. It was great Salsa. But alas, I am a Nacho critic not a salsa critic. Buchanans… you have great burgers, but you must work on your Nachos. These Nachos get a 6/10.

http://www.buchanans.ca/

Best Nachos of Calgary for 2008 in FFWD magazine says something to me. 2 years ago these Nachos were the best! Are they still? My sidekick “Bubbles” invited me to come to the Ship and Anchor Pub located at 534 -17th Avenue SW to check these Nachos out. So we did… were we pleased? Read the review to find out!

http://www.ffwdweekly.com/article/life-style/best-calgary/best-of-calgary-2008-poll-results-3248/

Nachos.

Well I was quite fond of the chips! They were tasty! They also gave you plenty of salsa and sour cream to dip them in! They were of the black, red, and yellow variety. They were crunchy and delicious! Chips for the win!

Toppings

We started with a great base for the Nachos, but now we get into toppings. I was disappointed. I have taken the Menu off their website! (The bracket stuff is my comments)

Nachos $11.95

Topped with green peppers, green onion, jalapenos and marble cheese  served with salsa &  sour cream.

Half Order…………………………………. $8.95

Extra Cheese……………………………….$1.50 (Why is this here?)

Extra toppings per item…………………….$1.00 (What kind of extra toppings? Do the Nachos need extra toppings)

I always get a little nervous when I see “extra cheese” on the menu because if they are made right in the first place why would you need extra cheese? Another thing that made me shiver is the “add extra toppings.” I look at Nachos like buying a car. Do you want a steering wheel with that? Well duh of course you do so if you buy nachos then you want the major toppings! They were missing tomatoes! Also there was no option listed for guacamole or meat. So if you like meat or guacamole on your Nachos, it looks like it can’t be done. The toppings were in short supply! Sure we have green peppers, jalapenos, onions, and cheese. But where oh where are the tomatoes? The Olives? I just don’t understand. Bubbles and I were sad. We missed our tomatoes, and I wanted olives!

Also there was not enough cheese! Look at these sad Nachos! This was after we ate the first layer…

These were very dry Nachos! No cheese on the second layer? If I order 'extra cheese" will this not happen?

$Price$

At first glance $11.95 isn’t bad for Nachos! The half order was only $8.95. These were the best Nachos of 2008 so I guess the price was worth it! I agree there! However. If we want to take another look at the menu…

Nachos  $11.95

Topped with green peppers, green onion, jalapenos and marble cheese  served with salsa &  sour cream.

Half Order…………………………………. $8.95

Extra Cheese……………………………….$1.50

Extra toppings per item…………………….$1.00

It seems to me like the only way to get the Nachos that you want, is by adding toppings and sadly extra cheese! So really to get good Nachos I imagine you would have to order tomatoes, olives and extra cheese. So really these nachos would work out to $15.45 which isn’t a great deal considering some of the other nachos I have reviewed. But for the price listed with no extras, it isn’t a bad deal for size. These nachos were a decent size.

Presentation

Well they looked great! At first glance these Nachos looked fantastic and had there been more toppings, more cheese, and at the price they were at they would have been great!

There was enough cheese on top but not in the middle!

Summary

Okay, so best Nachos of 2008, great! Congrats you got that for 2008! For 2010… you might need to work a little harder Ship and Anchor. I had high expectations for these Nachos and I wasn’t impressed. The chips were great, and when these Nachos had toppings on them they were amazing. However that tended to be a rare occurrence. Also to have that many Nachos with no cheese o them is just shameful. I have to give these a 6/10.

http://www.shipandanchor.com/

Well sadly the follow up to my 10/10 review didn’t quite meet the standards. Tell me where I can find 10/10 Nachos! Email me at nacho.joe@gmail.com or go to the facebook page at www.facebook.com/nachojoereviews

NachoJoe rates Fergus and Bix 10/10

Ugh… so many Nachos… well here we have yet another Nacho review! My sidekick Pastayoyo and I decided to check out Fergus and Bix at 2000, 873 85th Street S.W. What do you think we ordered?

Nachos.

Well these were some amazing chips! They were crunchy and tri-colored! They had just the right amount of salt on them. I could have eaten these plain with some salsa! I didn’t get the chance to do this because every Nacho had some kind of topping on it. I want to know the brand of these chips! They were really tasty!

Toppings

Well I must say I was a very happy Nacho consumer. Oh my gosh these Nachos had Olives! They had olives on them! Yay! Also they had tomatoes, green onions, red onions, and jalapenos. The jalapenos were just the right heat! These Nachos had tons of toppings. Every Nacho had something on it! It was hard to find a dry Nacho on this bunch. There was just the right amount of cheese on these as well. The bottom of the plate was a little greasy but not to the point where you were nervous of your arteries clogging. Also the toppings were layered! Finally nachos that are layered! We finished the top portion of the Nachos and then we got to the middle and there was a whole new layer of toppings! Fergus and Bix has mastered the art of layering! The toppings were fantastic!

Believe it or not this is after we ate some of the Nachos... lots of toppings...

$Price$

We got the half order and they were huge! These were massive Nachos! The half order costs $13.00 and the full order costs $21.00. Now, I think $21.00 is pretty expensive for Nachos but we got the half order and it was huge so I can’t even imagine how big the full is. I am very curious! For $13.00 this is a great deal! This could feed 2 people for a meal and 4 people for an appetizer.

Presentation

The Nachos tasted amazing! They also looked amazing! Check them out!

Yum

Look how much there is!

They looked nice, and there were lots of them! These were great Nachos!

Summary

I was told to go to Fergus and Bix from my good friend Roman! He said the Nachos were amazing and he was right! The Nachos were fantastic and the service was great! Pastayoyo and I had a long discussion about the rating. It was so hard to find anything wrong with these Nachos. They weren’t too greasy, they had enough cheese, tons of toppings, and the chips tasted great! There was more then enough dip left over and these nachos weren’t too spicy but they still had a kick to them! We came to the conclusion that these are Nachos for everybody! The best part about these Nachos is that family’s can even eat them together. On weekends Fergus and Bix lets kids into their restaurant until 3:00pm! So because of all these wonderful things guess what? Fergus and Bix’s, “Bix Better Nachos” have become my very first 10/10 Nachos! They were delicious and I would go back! Congratulations Fergus and Bix you have pleased me!

Montana’s Cookhouse

The Quest

NachoJoe rates Montana's Cookhouse 8/10

NachoJoe rates Montana's Cookhouse 8/10

This week has been a very good week for Nachos! Today my sidekicks Mama R and Brosa set out to find a great plate of family friendly Nachos! We decided to venture on over to Montana’s Cookhouse, 5622 Signal Hill Center Southwest, Calgary! They are famous for their ribs… but how are their Nachos? Read the review to find out!

Nachos.

You know the drill by now, we start with the chips! They were white and green tortilla chips! They were quite thick and not easily breakable. These Nachos held there ground! The toppings didn’t even make them soggy which was great! I enjoyed these chips a lot! They had a great crunch to them!

Toppings

Finally! A change! These Nachos had loads of toppings. There were onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, baked beans (I know beans on Nachos? Yum!) and Beef. Normally I stay away from meat on my Nachos because I am a Nacho Purist however, the menu said “Ultimate Beef Nachos.” My general rule of thumb is to get what the menu tells me. If the nachos are described and then it says “add chicken or beef for $__” then I never add it. But since the beef came with the Nachos, I had the beef! These Nachos were bountiful in toppings, but there was one big problem. Not enough cheese. This made me so sad. The top of the Nachos were covered in toppings, but no cheese. The cheese was in the middle and there just wasn’t enough.

$Price$

At $13.99 I would say you get your money’s worth. Sure they don’t have a lot of cheese but the other toppings almost make up for it. Almost. Also you get beef on them for no extra charge. That is pretty rare from what I have seen. If you are a vegetarian or a purist like me then you can ask for no beef.

Presentation

Well I thought they looked yummy! And they even had some paper underneath so you could peel off any of the unfortunate cheese that didn’t quite make it onto the Nachos! Check them out!

Lots of Toppings, But as you can see not enough cheese...

the only issues I had with this was the dips. There wasn’t really enough dip for the Nachos. We still had half the Nachos left and we were done the sour cream and a quarter of the salsa. They need more dip!

Summary

Well these Nachos were pretty good! I would say so far if you are looking to take your family out for decent Nachos, go to Montana’s! At $13.99 you get tons of toppings which includes beef and beans! However the biggest low point of these Nachos was that there just wasn’t enough cheese. But all things considered you did get your money’s worth and they tasted really good! One warning though, these are spicy Jalapenos so if you are not a hot and spicy fan order them on the side, or just don’t get them at all! After debating with my sidekicks these Nachos receive an 8/10. If they had a bit more cheese on them and some more dip these might have got a 10. They were good!

Until next time,
